Our Commitment
The Maldives' extraordinary beauty is fragile. We believe luxury and sustainability go hand in hand \u2014 and it's our responsibility to protect the oceans we call home.
The Maldives sits just metres above sea level. Rising oceans, coral bleaching, and plastic pollution pose real threats to this island nation. As operators on these waters, we have a duty to minimise our footprint and actively contribute to conservation.
At SERAI Ocean Dream, sustainability isn't an afterthought — it's woven into every decision we make, from the products we stock aboard our yacht to the way we interact with marine life during our experiences.
We invite our guests to join us in this commitment — because the most meaningful journeys are those that leave the world better than we found it.

Our Approach
We follow strict reef-safe anchoring protocols, use eco-friendly hull coatings, and maintain a zero-discharge policy in marine protected areas. Our crew are trained marine stewards.
We are committed to eliminating single-use plastics onboard. All water is filtered and served in reusable bottles, and we implement comprehensive waste sorting and recycling.
Our vessel operations are optimised for fuel efficiency with regular engine maintenance, optimised routing, and investment in energy-saving technologies for onboard systems.
We partner with local island communities, source provisions from local suppliers, and ensure our operations benefit the people of the Maldives directly.
Marine Stewardship
We follow strict interaction guidelines for every species we encounter. Learn more about the marine life on our diving page.
We follow responsible manta ray interaction guidelines — maintaining distance, no flash photography, and limiting group sizes at cleaning stations.
Our crew follows the Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme guidelines. We report sightings and maintain minimum approach distances.
We educate guests on reef-safe behaviour, support coral rehabilitation projects, and never collect or disturb coral formations.
Nesting beaches are strictly off-limits during season. We brief guests on responsible turtle interactions and support local conservation efforts.
